Reminder about this year’s BCSWomen AGM which is to be run on the 19th October at 5 Southampton Street, Covent Garden.

We really need to see you there, and we would love to see applications from some of you to be part of our committee. We need people who can spare time to help make BCSWomen as great as it can be to meet our objectives of attracting women to work in IT, and once they are there, supporting them in their careers! If you want to be involved, send a CV and a paragraph on why you think you would be great in the team.

We are going to make this a really special networking opportunity. We have asked Vanessa Vallely from We are the City to come along and talk to us. She is a famed motivational speaker as you can see here: and you may well be part of the 200000 women who are members of the We are the City group.

We have also asked Kayleigh Bateman to join us. Kayleigh has been working as a reporter for Computer Weekly for several years and we have worked with her on several BCSWomen events and PR campaigns. We believe she is going to tell us about her role at CW and her new job!!

We will get the AGM business out of the way first, so our plan is to start at 18:15, complete a short AGM and then listen in to what these two bright stars have to say.

18:40 Treasurers report (review of income and expenditure against the budget agreed with BCS HQ for the past year and an explanation of next year’s budget request)
18:45 Election of Chair, Treasurer and committee members
18:50 AOB, then
Networking and Nibbles (we will provide Wine and softdrinks and a sandwich supper to ensure that you will not go starving and that you will be chatty!! for networking) followed by

Copies of the Minutes of the 2014 AGM are available on our website. Officers’ reports will be tabled at the AGM and will be available on the website afterwards. If possible, please notify me of any matters you would wish to raise under Item 6, Any Other Business, by no later than Friday 16th October 2015.
