Ada Lovelace Day 2020: Streaming Live with Dame Stephanie Shirley
09:45 to 16:00
13-10-20

Leeds City Council, Sky, and Empowering Women with Tech invite you to celebrate Ada Lovelace Day 2020 with us with a day of inspirational digital, science and technology role models.
We are delighted to announce that we have both Dame Stephanie Shirley and Helen Sharman as our keynotes, two women who have broken boundaries in science and technology.
We will also be showcasing upcoming role models, the ones to watch in 2021 onwards, hearing the stories of how they got to where they are today. People often don’t start out where they end up, and the story of how they got there is fascinating.

As the event is being streamed live – you can join for some of the talks or all of them, it’s totally up to you.
Tickets are free and open to all (m/f/gn).
We’re so grateful to be delivering this event in partnership with Sky and Leeds City Council. Thanks to them both for generously supporting this event.

Our phenomenal lineup of speakers:
*Ava Garside, winner of the Youth Industrial Strategy Competition
*Urenna Okonkwo, founder of Cashmere app
* Sky’s Women In Tech Scholars, interviewed by Debbie Forster, founder of Tech Talent Charter.
*Dame Stephanie Shirley, Successful IT entrepreneur turned ardent philanthropist.
*Emma Trickitt, Head of Diversity & Inclusion in Technology at Sky
*Tom Riordan CBE, chief executive of Leeds City Council
*Helen Sharman, Britain’s first astronaut
*DigiBete, video platform to share videos and educational resources about Type 1 Diabetes

This is an online event – RSVP to get more information, a schedule of the day and the link to tune in!
